He has a long history in the Anti-Apartheid struggle in South Africa and served in the underground movement of the African National Congress. Following the end of Apartheid, Ambassador Dangor represented South Africa in Libya, Syria, and Saudi Arabia, as well as in the African Union. He was a member of the African National Congress Executive (Gauteng Province) from 1994 \u2013 2002 and the South African Civic Association Executive (SANCO).
