Milford is on coastal CT, with an off shore island connected at low tide by a tombolo. Legend has it there is a treasure somewhere on island or off shore buried by pirates. We have an annual Pirates Day remembering the pirates who came to town!!

There is an Oyster Festival every August drawing up to 50,000 people with a nationally known rock band

We also have a very large green encompassing all of downtown.
