The Valente Collection is a significant resource for research and scholarship in Italian Philosophy, Religion, History, Italian Regional History, Italian-American History, Economic History, Law, Music, Art, Italian Literature and Italian-American culture and history, and so on. Materials are primarily in Italian and English, with other languages represented, and available on open shelves. The Valente Collection is housed in the Library’s unique rotunda and adjacent shelving areas and is arranged by subject according to the Library of Congress system.
Building the Collection:
There are various ways you contribute to this important and unique research resource: donate books, journals, letters, documents or artifacts important to the subjects noted above. You can also make a monetary contribution to support an area of study within the Valente Collection. Your generous support will help Seton Hall University Libraries preserve access to the Italian scholarly record and Italian-American heritage and culture for generations to come.
