Through its flagship convocation program, UPIC brings together religious leaders and community organizers from across the U.S. and Pakistan. Now, for the first time, UPIC seeks to open its annual convocations abroad to participation by students, something that has long been a goal of this initiative. Pending University approval, Seton Hall undergraduate and graduate students will be among the first invited to join the U.S. delegation and experience first-hand UPIC’s interfaith dialogue activities in Pakistan.

While academic credit is not currently available for students participating in a UPIC convocation, students may find this experiential education opportunity to be a perfect complement to international relations coursework in particular. This program is especially relevant to those specializing in Conflict Resolution or Middle East studies, and offers a unique opportunity to connect with other students, academics, local NGOs, religious and community leaders from the U.S. and Pakistan. Student delegates can expect to build meaningful bridges that will provide both personal and professional benefits.

UPIC is targeting Fall 2019 for its next convocation abroad. Subscribe to updates or submit an inquiry through our contact page for further details as they are released.
