Representative of the United States of America to the United Nations for U.N. Management and Reform, Ambassador Christopher P. Lu, will speak at Seton Hall University. Ambassador Lu also serves as the Alternate Representative of the United States of America to the Sessions of the General Assembly of the United Nations. President Biden nominated Ambassador Lu to these positions in April 2021. In addition to his roles at the Department of State, Ambassador Lu held the position of U.S. Deputy Secretary of Labor (2014-2017), making him the second Asian American in history to become a deputy secretary.
