Bangladesh: Breaking Down Barriers

Women in rural Bangladesh rarely get an opportunity to work outside their homes and earn their own income. New Icon for SDG 10 Released

The UN has launched a revised design of Icon 10 of the Sustainable Development Goals. It shows the equal sign surrounded by four arrows and is intended to be a compass for a place where everything is equal. The new design more accurately reflects and symbolizes the objective of Sustainable Development Goal 10, “Reduced Inequalities”. It replaces the former icon effective 1 January 2018.

“Clear and consistent use of the SDG branding has been key to the success of raising awareness of the Sustainable Development Goals,” says Maher Nasser, Director of the Outreach Division in the Department of Public Information. “The SDG wheel logo and accompanying icons have been disseminated globally in multiple languages. They have truly become the foremost visual representation for the 2030 Agenda.”

You may find that existing references to Goal 10 on your digital platforms or print resources need to be replaced with the new icon. To make that process easier, you may download the newly revised icon in all six official languages from the UN website:
http://www.un.org/sustainabledevelopment/news/communications-material/.
Vector files are available upon request. For questions, email: SDGpermissions@un.org.
