Graduate and Undergraduate Students: Call for New Diplomacy UN Youth Representatives

GRADUATE AND UNDERGRADUATE STUDENTS: CALL FOR NEW DIPLOMACY UN YOUTH REPS

As a recognized NGO under the UN’s Department of Public Information, the School of Diplomacy and International Relations is allowed to designate two students as Youth Representatives who are less than 32 years old. Must be a Seton Hall University student. To serve as a Youth Rep is an honor which carries with it both opportunities and responsibilities: for example, Youth Reps receive UN grounds passes, represent and network on behalf of the School of Diplomacy, and are expected to attend briefings and write content for the Permanent Observer blog and the UN Center’s Twitter feed. (For more information: http://thediplomaticenvoy.com/2017/03/02/un-youth-representative-interview/)

We need TWO new Youth Reps for 2018 — one graduate and one undergraduate.

Interested applicants should submit the following by email attachment to Father Brian Muzás (brian.muzas@shu.edu) by 5:00 pm on Friday, November 24, 2017.

1)      A resume.

2)      A brief (750 word max) statement why the applicant is interested in the position and detailing the applicant’s engagement with UN programs on campus.

Applicants will hear whether or not they are finalists for the position on Friday, December 1st.

Finalist candidates will be interviewed the week of December 4th.

If you have any questions, please contact Vera Dimoplon, Morgan McMichen, or Noelle Sorich.
