This afternoon at approximately 1:15 PM the systems support team began seeing errors on the data center network. This caused intermittent access problems for some users and services. Systems affected included the campus Web site and the PirateNet portal. Not all users and locations experienced these problems. All services were restored by approximately 3:15 PM.
This afternoon at approximately 11:45 AM the campus lost its connection to the Internet. This caused all campus services, including the Web site, email, PirateNet, and Banner to be unavailable from off campus. This morning at approximately 9:00 AM PirateNet, that campus portal, began giving error messages to users when they logged on. All PirateNet services were restored by approximately 11:30 AM. Steve Landry, CIO
