The Online Faculty Development Certificate Program is here!

Through the Center for Faculty Development, the TLT Center is pleased to offer an Online Faculty Development Certificate Program to assist faculty in gaining important skills to successfully facilitate and improve their online courses. The program consists of five core workshops and three “elective” workshops.

The core workshops are:

  • Competencies in Online Teaching – created by Larry Ragan, Penn State
  • Engagement Strategies
  • The Inclusive Classroom
  • Blackboard for Course Design
  • The Blackboard Grade Center

Elective workshops include:

  • Open Educational Resources
  • Lecture Capture – Echo 360
  • Discussion Boards
  • Blackboard Collaborate
  • Course Redesign
  • And more…

All workshops incorporate best practices in online course design and teaching and align with Quality Matters”™” standards. To earn the workshop badge, participants will complete a deliverable within one week of the workshop. Each workshop will be 50 minutes to 1 hour in duration and are offered face to face and through Blackboard Collaborate.
