This session will provide an overview of two citation management programs Zotero (https://www.zotero.org/) and RefWorks (http://library.shu.edu/refworks). Specific topics to be covered include importing citations and generating bibliographies in specified formats such as APA, Chicago, and MLA.
Microsoft Excel Tips & Tricks

Microsoft Excel is an incredibly powerful tool. This session will cover some of the basics of working with an Excel spreadsheet, as well as advanced tips and tricks for manipulating and displaying your data.

This session will take a look at the multiple options for creating powerful presentations (Microsoft PowerPoint, Prezi, Apple Keynote, …) and the options available for sharing presentations (SlideShare, SlideRocket, YouTube, Present.Me). We will also touch on adding your audio / video to the presentation.
Online Image Editing

This session will cover basic image editing (cropping, resizing, color balance, adding text, and filter effects) in free online image editing websites Pixlr (http://pixlr.com/) and Adobe Photoshop Express (http://www.photoshop.com/tools).
Creating a Screen Recording
Session Dates: February 25, April 15, 2015
This session will cover the basics of creating a video presentation. We will create a video file from a voice-over PowerPoint presentation, and screen recordings with Screenr or Jing. Methods for sharing presentations (YouTube, Vimeo) will also be covered.
File Management / Backing Up Your Data

This session will provide tips and tricks to managing your files in the Windows 8 environment, and the options available to students on how to back up and restore your data.
