Dr Paula Alexander and MBA candidates Ian Saporito and Christina Johnson to present SC session at LERA 67th Annual Meeting

Professor Paula Alexander and two MBA candidate students  Ian Saporito and Christina Johnson will participate in a session at the  Labor and Employment Relations Association national conference.  Their proposal “Supply Chain Challenges in Bangladesh’s Textile Industry”, has been accepted into the program. The session will take place at the LERA 67th Annual Meeting in Pittsburgh, PA, May 28-31, 2015. The topic is Supply Chain Challenges in Bangladesh’s Textile Industry.

Last year in BMGT 2501 undergraduate students related Catholic Social Teachings to the operations of The Children’s Place in Bangladesh.  In BMBA 9201,   our  MBA candidates, Christina Johnson and Ian Saporito  wrote outstanding papers on the operations of the Children’s Place in the Bangladesh textile industry.  The resultant co-authored paper will serve as the focal point of the discussions during this session.

This is just another example of the excellent applied work going on in the Stillman School as well as in the Supply Chain program.  Last year supply chain management MBA candidate Dawn Jaeckel made an outstanding impression at the national conference.
