On Monday December 6, 2010 Systems Support will be disabling the individual Lotus Notes email accounts for all faculty and administrators.  This function will not disable any departmental email accounts, called resource accounts, that are still accessed through the Lotus Notes system.

These messages would be your old correspondences before having your email account migrated to the newer Microsoft Exchange (Outlook) system.  Before the Lotus Notes servers are decommissioned on December 6th you would need to first modify the Microsoft Outlook 2007 client software to stop it from attempting to update your old Lotus Notes account.  If this process is not followed your email program will attempt to update an account that no longer exists and will return frequent error alert messages.
