Registration

IFL 2009 participation and attendance requires every attendee to register on or before August 15, 2009 and to pay their registration fee within 48 hours of filling out the registration form. The registration fee includes lunch and coffee breaks during the symposium, a social event and tour, the symposium's banquet, a copy of the draft proceedings, and a copy of the post-symposium peer-reviewed proceedings published by Springer in the LNCS series.

Thanks to support by the IFL 2009 sponsors, we are able to offer students a reduced registration fee. The registration fees are as follows:

Students: US$325.00

Non-Students: US$375.00

In order for students to be granted the reduction in the registration fee they must provide proof of their current student status (i.e. copy of their student ID or a letter signed by the chair of their department) when submitting the credit card authorization form. Participants wishing to have their traveling companions join the social event and banquet may purchase tickets for them. Each extra ticket costs US$150.00 and must be purchased at registration time.

Participants wishing to present their work at the IFL 2009 should submit a draft article, abstract, or extended abstract at registration time via the registration form (pdf documents are strongly preferred). Submissions should be at most 16 pages long and follow the LNCS format (latex template). The PC chair will check every submission to make sure they are within the scope of IFL. Approved submissions will appear in the draft proceedings distributed at the symposium. Only authors of submissions that are not within scope of IFL will be contacted by the PC chair. If the submitting author is not contacted by the PC chair, he or she may assume that the submission is accepted for presentation at IFL 2009. Authors wishing to register and make their submission at a later date (but on or before August 23, 2009) can e-mail the submission to ifl2009@shu.edu (make sure to indicate on the registration form that you are presenting a paper).

Given the need for advanced planning all registration fees and extra tickets paid for are non-refundable.

Registration Procedure

1. Fill out the registration form on or before August 15, 2009.
2. Fax the credit card authorization form within 48 hours of filling out the registration form to to (+1) 973-761-9371 to the attention of: Dellkeyta Foster - IFL 2009 (224604). Students must also fax proof of their current student status.
