IFL 2009
Seton Hall University, South Orange, NJ, USA
The The International Symposia on Implementation and Application of Functional Languages (IFL) are one of the leading international venues for the presentation and publication of novel work on the implementation of functional and function-based programming languages and of novel work on applied functional programming. IFL brings together researchers as well as practitioners to present and discuss new ideas, preliminary results, work in progress, and publication-ripe material without first having to go through a rigorous review process. Every participant is welcomed to submit a paper or abstract to be presented at the symposium and to be included in the draft proceedings. After the symposium, authors are invited to submit updated full papers for the review process leading to the publication of the formal proceedings. The post-symposium review process allows authors to incorporate feedback from discussions at the symposium. As in past versions of the symposium, we expect to publish the formal proceedings as a volume in Springer's Lecture Notes in Computer Science (LNCS) series.
IFL 2009 is a milestone for the IFL symposia marking the first time the symposium is held in the USA. The goal is to increase the interaction and collaboration between US-based researchers and practitioners with researchers and practitioners in Europe and beyond. It follows the proud 20-year tradition of IFL's annual symposium. The most recent IFL symposia have been held in:
