Inbound and outbound phone service to the South Orange campus was restored by AT&T around 2:00 PM this afternoon. AT&T has determined the cause of the outage was a faulty circuit in the South Orange Central Office.
The University's inbound and outbound phone service for the main campus is currently down. Users cannot send or receive phone calls to or from off campus. The problem was first reported around 11:50 AM this morning. The cause has been traced to the AT&T circuits in the South Orange Central Office. AT&T is working to restore service. Phone service to the Ring Building and the Law School is not affected.

Summary: All new computers come with Microsoft Office 2007. This uses a different file format than previous versions such as Microsoft Office 2003 or Microsoft Office XP. Users of these previous versions of Microsoft Office will need Microsoft's Office Campatibility Pack to open and save files in the new Office 2007 format. This add on to Microsoft Office is available from the Microsoft Web site or from the SHU Technology Help Desk. See below for more details.
