This striking Gothic Revival church with an exterior in white marble and its beautiful bell tower is a landmark in East Orange.
Its interior is unusual in that it has a slightly sloping floor and no pillars, an innovation at the time of its construction. Over the front door there is a bas relief of the Battle of Lepanto. Each individual in the Stations of the Cross is individually carved.
In 1983 the parish merged with Holy Spirit Parish.
