If you are interested in making, 3D modeling / printing, VR / Google Cardboard / Raspberry Pi / Arduino’s, programming in Python, … then stop by the MakerSpace Open Hours in Space 154 and join us as we explore the possibilities!
In these hands-on sessions, we explore everything from 3D Printing, to Virtual Reality, to what is possible with Raspberry Pi’s and The Internet of Things! Here are some examples from the past semester.
Maker Friday hours are 10:00am to 4:00pm.
- Pizza and Pi, a workshop on how to build your own gaming device using the tiny computer, Raspberry Pi. During this session we are looking for student input on what type of project you would be most interested in. The session will include a demo of potential projects; playing arcade games with a Raspberry Pi; Pizza!
- Wearable Electronics workshop where participants were able to use LEDs and simple sewing skills to make a t-shirt or mask light up for Halloween. Photographs of the finished wearable electronics projects are posted to the MakerSpace blog.
- 3D Printing workshop where participants were able to customize a Jack-o-Lantern Lithograph, Glow-in-the-Dark Ghost magnet, and Candy corn piece. Photographs of the Glow-in-the-Dark Ghosts can be seen on the MakerSpace blog.
