Coding for the first time was not as bad as I thought.
Honestly, the HTML Editor website made it very easy and straight forward.
I work as a student-teacher at Salome Urena Elementary school in Newark so I thought it would be cool to make a mock “Back to School” sign (6 weeks late lol).

I have not had much background knowledge coding wise and it was cool to learn from HTML Editor and the helpful HTML YouTube video as an easy way to understand code.

On a different note, it seems that advocates of code talk about how it is an important and vital skill to know in the digital age that we live in. The earlier young minds can learn code, the easier than can refine their skills later on down the line and have a high level skill which many people do not have.

I really wish I had some form of coding instruction early on in my Elementary school years (along with learning another language) because our minds absorb so much knowledge then and having skills like coding would have opened up opportunities down the road that could have altered my life. Who knows?
Found a really cool TedTalk, which just was published, called “How to Make Learning as Addictive as Social Media”. Luis talks about how computer Science (aka code) helped him create a world-wide famous language learning app known as “Duolingo”. Pretty neat.
