Registration for Fall 2012 is coming up!

Expand your horizons!  Take a new language!

Maybe your high school didn’t offer courses in Japanese or Russian.  Maybe you’re interested in the service trip to El Salvador, and want to learn a bit of Spanish.  Maybe you’re thinking of studying abroad in Italy.  Whatever the reason, Fall 2012 is the time to start learning a new language.

Photo Contest

Get out your digital cameras and flip through your digital photo albums!  We’re looking for pictures that capture a cultural event or study abroad experience.  Do you have a picture of you navigating the Tokyo subway?  You and your fellow students at a Spanish aqueduct?  Your Italian host family at dinner? Each photo submission must be accompanied by a short description – in the language you’re learning, of course!

Student Workshop on Feb. 24: Study abroad for Language Learners

Save the date: February 24,  2012 from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Get the most out of your study abroad experience by exploring ways to maximize language and culture learning and use. Free copies of “Maximizing Study Abroad” by the Center for Advanced Research on Language Acquisition to first 15 participants. In Fahy Hall 203B.
