Katherine C. Aquino<\/strong>, doctoral candidate, co-presented with Dr. Kim at the Northeastern Educational Research Association 2015 Conference- Barbara Blozen<\/strong>, Ed.D. \u201810, has been involved in the following publications and activities:<\/p>\n Monica Burnette<\/strong>, doctoral student, co-presented at the New Jersey Association of New Student Advocates annual conference in Atlantic City.\u00a0 The presentation, entitled \u201cBuilding an Effective Study Skills Curriculum for Struggling First-Year Students\u201d demonstrated how campus departments collaborated to\u00a0 redesign the curriculum and delivery method of a study skills course to improve student engagement and academic performance.<\/p>\n Stephen Deutsch<\/strong> recently defended his PhD dissertation entitled \u201cThe Relationship Between Adjunct Faculty Staffing and College Student Retention and Graduation.\u201d\u00a0 Dr. Chen mentored Stephen.<\/p>\n Colleen Evans<\/strong>, Ph.D. \u201813, was recently promoted from Instructor to Assistant Professor in Chemistry at Dominican College.\u00a0 She is also co-Principal Investigator on a NSF STEM grant for low-income biology majors.\u00a0 The grant ($600,000) provides four-year scholarships for two cohorts of students.\u00a0 The project is entitled \u201cIncreasing Access to the Biological Sciences.\u201d<\/p>\n Mary Fortier<\/strong>, Ed.D. \u201810, worked with the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation and several colleagues on an article- Kelly Freeman<\/strong>, master\u2019s student, presented \u201cCollegiate Citizenship, Civic Engagement In a College Setting\u201d at NJANSA (New Jersey Association of New Student Advocates) on October 23.<\/p>\n Ryan Hudes<\/strong>, doctoral candidate, recently accepted a position at Seton Hall\u2019s new College of Communication and the Arts working in Admissions\/Enrollment Management for its graduate programs.<\/p>\n Dr. Kelchen<\/strong>, Assistant Professor, has been involved in the following publications and activities:<\/p>\n Aretha Watson<\/strong>, Ph.D. \u201815, recently accepted a position as the Assistant Dean for the School of Nursing at Rutgers University.<\/p>\n Your name here!
