MONTHLY SPOTLIGHT\u00a0\u2013 JILL DIPPMAN<\/strong><\/p>\n

In early August, Jill Dippman, ELMP department secretary, retired from her position after supporting the department since October 2005 \u2014 Congratulations<\/em>!\u00a0 \u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

The HEGSA Stewards would like to thank Jill for her ongoing support.\u00a0 Her assistance and support has been invaluable and much appreciated. \u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

Prior to leaving, Jill shared a note and an image of a recent art project from the Seton Hall art show, as a farewell to students in the Higher Education Programs.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Dear Students,
\nI began working for the University in May 2003. I was initially hired for a short assignment in TLTC (Teaching, Learning and Technology Center).\u00a0 In early October 2005, I transitioned to the ELMP department secretary position.\u00a0 Seton Hall was the third University for which I have worked; my previous include Harvard and Tufts. I grew up in New Jersey and I left at 25 to pursue photography school in Boston.\u00a0 I ended up living in Boston for twenty years.\u00a0 I returned to New Jersey via Hoboken for five years and worked in New York City for Martha Stewart, among others.\u00a0 Following September 11th, I left Hoboken to live temporarily with family while I took on short-term assignments until I was hired at Seton Hall.\u00a0 I was grateful to find employment and spend my days in a spiritual environment.<\/p>\n

After I was with the department for approximately three years, I resumed my undergraduate studies and I applied to be a student in the fine arts program with a minor in art history.\u00a0 Supporting the ELMP department gave me a better understanding of your needs as students and I tried to better assist you.\u00a0 It was always my hope to assist you with your goals.\u00a0 I have enjoyed my time at Seton Hall and getting to know many students and helping them throughout the program.<\/p>\n

This summer, I reached the point in my career to retire.\u00a0 It is a little earlier than I anticipated, but a house flood late in the winter requires my presence more than once a week to get things under control.\u00a0 Also, I plan to complete my undergraduate studies and graduate in December.\u00a0 I will miss you and the faculty as well as the office staff with whom I have worked with for nearly ten years.<\/p>\n
