{"id":279,"date":"2014-03-05T19:51:26","date_gmt":"2014-03-06T00:51:26","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.shu.edu\/hegsa\/?p=279"},"modified":"2014-03-05T20:55:31","modified_gmt":"2014-03-06T01:55:31","slug":"march-2014-japan-week-2014","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/blogs.shu.edu\/hegsa\/march-2014-japan-week-2014\/","title":{"rendered":"March 2014: Japan Week 2014"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"mailto:martin.finkelstein@shu.edu\">Dr. Martin Finkelstein<\/a>, currently on sabbatical, serves as our department representative on the <strong>Japan Week 2014<\/strong> committee. \u00a0Japan Week runs from April 2 &#8211; 11, 2014. \u00a0This week-long event provides students the opportunity to build a bridge between cultures that enables the sharing of knowledge and experiences of Japan through lectures, symposia, workshops, events, and awards \u00a0This event provides an atmosphere conducive to a greater understanding of Japan and its people, further advancing work towards building a more peaceful global community. \u00a0All events are open to the public and free of charge.<\/p>\n<p>The event is sponsored by Seton Hall&#8217;s Department of Languages, Literatures and Cultures, College of Arts and Sciences Dean\u2019s Office, Office of International Programs, Language Resource Center, Asian Studies Association, J.C.C.
