On behalf of the faculty of higher education programs, I\u2019d like to first extend our appreciation to HEGSA for initiating this inaugural newsletter. It is indeed a great way for students to get informed and stay in touch with each other.<\/p>\n<p>Additionally, it\u2019s been an exciting past few months within our programs. We recently hosted a successful holiday party, where students got to know new and old peers and shared exciting experience\/stories together. With the tremendous support from students and faculty, we also completed a self-study and\u00a0 internal\/external review of our three major programs (CSPA, Ed.D, and Ph.D.). By identifying strengths and challenges, we are committed to continuous growth and program improvement!<\/p>\n<p>An old Chinese proverb says that A Good Beginning is Half Way to Success.
