We also include a short note from Dr. Pellegrino whose work was featured.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\"><span data-olk-copy-source=\"MessageBody\">Hello\u00a0<span class=\"mark4rpm39z53\" data-markjs=\"true\" data-ogac=\"\" data-ogab=\"\" data-ogsc=\"\" data-ogsb=\"\">HEGSA<\/span>,<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\">I hope you are having a delightful semester.\u00a0 It is an honor to share space with you in this community!<\/p>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\">As we know, the higher education field is replete with fascinating topics to research.\u00a0 The test-optional policy movement piqued my interest, and the decision to research this area was fully supported by my advisor, Dr. Chen.\u00a0 I began investigating policy adoption trends, and shortly after, my dissertation topic was developed.\u00a0 However, the development and progression of my work was not done in isolation.\u00a0 I was blessed to have faculty who paved the way with\u00a0infallible perspicacity, understanding, and patience.\u00a0 They were kind and keen from\u00a0start\u00a0to finish.\u00a0 I hope you, too, find support amongst your mentors and advisors.<\/p>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\">Wishing you a splendid year ahead and an exciting academic journey.<\/p>\n<p>Best,<\/p>\n<p>Christina Marie Pellegrino, PhD<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p>Li Kang is an Assessment Specialist at the University of Alabama, holding a Ph.D. in Educational Leadership and Management from Seton Hall University. Specializing in assessment, program evaluation, and educational research, Li is passionate about promoting diversity, fostering student involvement, and utilizing data visualization.
