ASIs organize high-level tutorial courses to convey the latest NATO-relevant developments to young postdoctoral scientists. ATCs enable specialists from NATO countries to share their expertise with trainees from NATO partner countries. ARWs organize expert workshops to facilitate high-level discussions and information sharing about today&#8217;s most pressing security challenges.<\/p>\n<p>Research priorities are centered around the organization&#8217;s strategic objectives, which include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Counter-terrorism<\/li>\n<li>Energy Security<\/li>\n<li>Cyber Defense<\/li>\n<li>Protection Against Chemical, Biological, Radiological &amp; Nuclear (CBRN) Agents<\/li>\n<li>Environmental Security<\/li>\n<li>Enhance Support for NATO Operations<\/li>\n<li>Security Related Advanced Technology<\/li>\n<li>Border &amp; Port Security<\/li>\n<li>Mine and Unexploded Ordnance Clearance &amp; Detection<\/li>\n<li>Human &amp; Social Aspects of Security<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>SPS grants vary in size and scope. Applications are reviewed twice yearly and can be submitted at any time.
