Scholars can be from a wide variety of fields, including management, organizational psychology, sociology, education, linguistics and others. PMI also encourages research proposals involving multi-disciplinary teams of investigators or teams consisting of academics and practitioners who bring new ways of thinking and related bodies of literature to the field. Proposals should either involve:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Translational research, which may include an evidence-based study of existing research or evidence-building research, or<\/li>\n<li>Unique theory-building research or the integration of existing theories to form an interpretative framework for PPPM.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Applications for 2014 funding will be open until April 25, 2013.
