Fellows receive a $42,500 stipend, work full-time and must provide some pro bono direct legal services to older persons. Examples of activities and projects by Borchard Fellows include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Writing and publication of law review articles on law and aging issues<\/li>\n<li>Analysis of Medicare policies or SSI non-disability appeals<\/li>\n<li>Writing and publication of state specific, conusmer oriented handbooks on legal issues affecting older persons<\/li>\n<li>Development, administration and interpretation of statewide senior legal hotline outcomes study<\/li>\n<li>Organizing and attending national conference on law and aging issues<\/li>\n<li>Development of training materials and statewide trainings for lawyers, judges and other court personnel, and social service providers on new comprehensive state guardianship laws<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Fellowship applications are due April 15, 2013.
