Placek Grant"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>APF&#8217;s Wayne Placek Grant provides $15,000 for research that increases the general public&#8217;s understanding of homosexuality\/sexual orientation and to alleviate the stress that lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) individuals experience in this and future civilizations. Proposals must address one of the following topics:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Heterosexual attitudes and behavior towards LGBT people, including prejudice, discrimination and violence<\/li>\n<li>Family and workplace issues relevant to LGBT people<\/li>\n<li>Special concerns of LGBT people that are underrepresented in scientific research<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Applications are due March 1, 2013.
