The Preventative Medicine & Public Health Training Grant Program aims to increase the number of preventative medicine physicians & promote greater access to population-based healthcare. Successful proposals should:

  • Plan, develop, operate or participate in an accredited residency or internship program in preventative medicine or public health
  • Defray the costs of practicum expenses required in such a program
  • Establish, maintain or improve academic administrative units in preventative medicine or public health programs

Proposals for trainee support can request up $75,000 per trainee per year over a two year period and new unaccredited residency programs can request up to $150,000 in the grant’s first year to develop a residency program.
