The Advanced Development of Informatics Technology Program provides up to $500,000 per year over a five year span for the development and advancement of informatics technologies that improve the acquisition, management, analysis and dissemination of data and knowledge in cancer research. Successful proposals can include, but are not limited to:

  • Software for data integration & quality assessment
  • Software for automated data collection
  • Software for text mining and natural language processing
  • Computer-assisted interpretation of experimental results
  • Computational platforms for research collaboration

Projects that are not computation or informatics based will not be considered. Neither will projects that are research-centric or focus and data activities without developing informatics and computational technology.
