This is a reminder to the University community that the annual winter IT maintenance window is scheduled to begin Thursday, January 2nd at 12:01 AM and will end on Sunday, January 12th at 7:00 AM. University IT Services will be performing routine maintenance to the campus network and servers during that period. University IT Services will make every effort to advise the University community of planned system outages during that period, but please be advised that unplanned outages due to system maintenance can occur at any time during this maintenance window.
At this time, the following system outages are planned:
Public printing will be unavailable Thursday, January 2nd, for a scheduled upgrade to the Pharos Uniprint system.
Banner will be unavailable Saturday, January 4th, for a scheduled upgrade.
Blackboard Transact (Pirate’s Gold transactions including printing/vending/Gold deposits) will be unavailable Saturday, January 4 through Sunday, January 5th for a scheduled upgrade. (Note: door access for current cardholders is not impacted by this upgrade.)
Blackboard Learn will be unavailable Sunday, January 5th, from 12:01 AM until 7:00 AM for a scheduled upgrade
The TLT Center servers (blogs, wikis, academic pages, personal pages) will be upgraded over the course of the week of January 6th. These services will be available most of the time, but several brief outages will occur as the servers are rebooted.
In addition, scheduled upgrades are planned for the University’s authentication services, the University’s Linux systems and the University’s data storage arrays. No outages are anticipated as a result of these outages.
