Approximately 4:30 PM this afternoon University IT Services lost power in the data center in Corrigan Hall. Most IT services were off line while Facilities worked to restore the power.
A backup Web server in Presidents Hall was brought on line around 7:30 PM. Facilities was able to partially restore power around 7:00 PM, and Email, Blackboard, PirateNet, and Banner were restored.
While critical services including the Web site, PirateNet, Email, Blackboard, and Banner are now running, IT Services continues to run on a temporarily patched electrical connection and a the backup Web server. It will be several days before full power and all IT service are restored.
