SEA Pirates – Student Education Association

Members are mostly education majors and we do many service activities, both on and off campus. In the past, we have planned Christmas and Easter parties for the students at Sacred Heart in Newark. This year we will continue the parties at a different elementary school as well as tutor at elementary and middle schools. We also volunteer at the Fashion Show each year and help raise money for the Mary Jennings Memorial Scholarship. We have co-sponsored many events on campus such as the career fair. We have put together newsletters to show everyone what the College of Education has done. This year we will also have a fundraiser selling sweatshirts for the College of Education and Human Services to raise money for our club to attend the NJEA conference in Atlantic City again with the remaining funds going towards the Mary Jennings Memorial Scholarship. Our club is very active on and off campus and are willing to volunteer in any way that we can.
