Standout Stillman Senior Chris Jandreau Accepts Offer with Ernst & Young
By Clara Brunkhorst, Stillman News Writer
Chris Jandreau: My life goal is actually very simple, I want to be able to say when I am older that I enjoyed what I did with my life, without any regrets. I try to make the best of any situation and just enjoy the ride while I am on it. The Stillman School has provided an academic environment that has helped me grow more independent and professional throughout the years. During this time, I enjoyed collaborating with my class- mates and made great friendships along the way. In all, I would say attending the Stillman School provided for a large incline on that ride.
CB: How have your extracurricular activities taught and formed you into the per- son, student, and professional you are today?
CJ: Beta Alpha Psi has helped groom me into the professional I have grown into. I have learned a great deal about networking, teamwork, and leadership. Being surrounded by professionals who have been in the business world for years gave me an example of who I should try to model myself into when entering the workforce.
CB: Describe your professional experience, internship, endeavors, and major accomplishments.
CJ: Over the summer I experienced my first corporate internship at CIT. This experience allowed me to understand the corporate environment and to finally apply all the concepts and theories that were taught to me in courses. I really enjoyed working there and was allowed to extend my tenure, until the conclusion of the academic year.
CB: What are your plans or prospects post-baccalaureate?
CJ: After graduating as an undergraduate in May, I will be completing my Masters of Professional Accounting this summer. I have already been offered and accepted an external audit position with Ernst & Young and plan to begin my career there in the fall. While completing my Masters work over the summer, I will begin to prepare for and begin to take sections of the New Jersey CPA exam. I hope to have that completed within my first year of working, but am really pushing to complete the process within six months of graduation.
