Dr. Tseng led a cohort of 18 faculty members across 10 languages in developing GenAI-empowered classrooms. This presentation explores the transformative potential of AI-driven experiments in language teaching and learning across a range of world languages. It showcases how generative AI tools were integrated into classroom practice to support student learning and autonomy. A featured case study from a Pre-Advanced Chinese course illustrates how students engaged with AI as a self-directed learning tool to enhance writing over a semester. Additional sample activities will be presented to highlight diverse applications and outcomes in other languages. The presentation emphasizes key pedagogical strategies, student feedback, and learner perceptions of AI integration. Results indicate\u00a0strong student engagement and positive responses to personalized learning experiences and ownership of their learning process. The findings also underscore the importance of\u00a0explicitly training students in effective strategies for using generative AI tools, ensuring that technology use is purposeful, ethical, and aligned with instructional goals.
