The first event of the spring semester in the Diversity Film Series will be a showing Go (2001, Japan). The film looks at the plight of the Korean minority in Japan, the “Zainichi Koreans,” who have lived and worked in Japan for generations but who remain ineligible for citizenship. The showing of the film will be followed by a discussion led by Dr. Giblin-Gedacht. This event is sponsored by the Center for Faculty Development and the Diversity Coalition.
