In these especially stressful time, when our students need increasing amounts of support and attention, faculty can find themselves experiencing “compassion fatigue.” However, in order to truly support others, we also need to take care of ourselves. This workshop, offered by Mary Kelly, Assistant Director for Outreach & Prevention, and Julie DiMatteo, Staff Psychologist/Referral Coordinator at Seton Hall Counseling and Psychological Services, will offer strategies for recognizing and preventing burnout so faculty can also continue to support those around them.
This event is sponsored by the Contemplative Pedagogy Group, an initiative of the Center for Faculty Development.
