New Jersey Distinguished Clinical Intern and Cooperating Teacher Awards Ceremony 2019
Since 1985, New Jersey’s Colleges and Universities have been invited to submit the dossiers of their three most outstanding prospective teachers for recognition for this award. This Award is co-sponsored annually by the NJDOE (New Jersey Department of Education) and NJACTE (New Jersey’s Association of Colleges for Teacher Education).
The top 60 clinical interns each year, three from each of NJ’s Educator Preparation Programs, are recognized at the NJ Distinguished Clinical Intern Awards (DCIA) Ceremony. In addition, the Mentor/Cooperating Teachers for each of these 60 teacher candidates are recognized for their support, mentorship and guidance throughout the clinical interns’ placement in their classroom.
Sixty nominees are selected to be honored as a Distinguished Clinical Intern. From the 60 recognized clinical interns, an independent panel of esteemed New Jersey educators evaluates these dossiers to select recipients recognized with Distinction. For the fifth year in a row, Seton Hall University is honored and proud to have had a clinical intern, this year two clinical interns, selected to be recognized “with Distinction,” placing these clinical interns among the top 16 future educators in the state of New Jersey.
The 2019 DCIA Ceremony was held on June 12, 2019 at the Pollak Theater at Monmouth University. Please join us in congratulating and honoring Seton Hall University’s 2019 Distinguished Clinical Interns.
