The purpose of the Student Servant Leader Awards is to honor students who exemplify the ideals of servant leadership, both on and off campus. Servant leaders are those whose leadership consists of serving the needs of others — not service to others in addition to leadership, but service that is part and parcel of leadership. Out of a record number of nominees, Cecelia Pateman was this year’s recipient of the Student Servant Leader Award!
The College of Education & Human Services would like to highlight and personally congratulate Cecelia, one of our very own Education majors. Throughout her time at Seton Hall, she has actively sought out opportunities to serve those in need both at home and abroad. She has contributed countless hours to DOVE’s weekly service programs and her international service trip to El Salvador. She is also being recognized for her on-going service to Bethlehem Farms in West Virginia where she works with low-income families. Cece is the perfect example of a Servant Leader, and we are extremely proud of her great accomplishment!
