\"\"<\/td>Li Kang is a PhD candidate at The College of Education and Human Services, SHU. He earned M.A. in Asian studies at SHU in 2019. His topic is how to apply for NJ Chinese Certificate of Eligibility (CE). He will address three questions: (1) What is CE? (2) Why you need a CE? and (3) How to prepare for it with regards to timeline, requirements, materials, examinations, and tips.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
\"\"<\/td>Qingqing Lan is a caring, patient, responsible and dedicated teacher. She is currently in her fifth year teaching for Freehold Regional High School District, where she teaches Mandarin 1,2,3 and AP Chinese. She earned M.A. in Asian Studies at SHU, and holds the CEAS as well as non-citizen Std. for teaching Chinese. She has been nominated as Teacher of the Month for many times. She will share her experience of teaching in a public high school as well as her story of finding a teaching Chinese job.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
\"\" <\/td>Haiting Liang earned M.A. in Asian Studies at SHU. He has been a Chinese teacher since 2009. He is currently teaching Grade 9 to 12 in Montclair high school. Haiting Liang will talk about applying for Chinese teaching job in the USA. Specifically his talk will touch upon how to prepare a resume, ways to handle certain standard interview questions, and things to pay attention to during\u00a0the interview.\u00a0<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
\"\"<\/td>Liping Meng is an accomplished teacher. Currently, she is teaching Chinese in Columbia High School in Maplewood, New Jersey. She has been teaching in American high schools since 2011. She has been diligently exploring efficient ways of teaching Chinese in American high schools. She presented at numerous workshops and nationwide conferences, including\uff1a (1) ACTFL (American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Languages) and Northeastern ACTFL in 2020, 2019, and 2018, (2) CLTA-GNY (Chinese Language Teachers Association-Greater New York) from 2012 to 2018, and (3) FLENJ (Foreign Language Educators of New Jersey) in 2017. She has earned two master's degrees in Applied Linguistics and Asian Studies at SHU (Chinese teaching track). In addition, Liping Meng won the Best Teaching Activity Award at the 2nd International Symposium of CLTA in University of Maryland in 2016. She taught in the University of International Business and Economics (in Beijing) for 17 years as an assistant and associate professor before coming to the USA.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
<\/td>Yanhao Wang<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
\"\"<\/td>Yunlin Zhou is Adjunct Professor of Chinese at SHU and Chinese teacher at Ranney School in Tinton Falls, New Jersey. Teaching Chinese is one of her most valuable experiences in her decades of life in the United States.\u00a0She will share two stories: the first is how and why she was hired by Ranney School as their Chinese teacher even in her first year of her study of Asian Studies at SHU. The second is how to make full use of the resources of the school and the interpersonal relationships around her to develop a better Chinese program at Ranney School.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
\"\"<\/td>Keqin Wang will serve as a moderator for the seminar. She is graduate student of Asian Studies and Library Chinese Project Assistant at SHU. She is in a dual M.A. of Teaching Chinese to the Speakers of Other Languages at Minzu University in China. <\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n\n
