What will be the elements that will comprise it? In his talk, The Day That Turns Your Life Around, Jim Rohn, author and motivational speaker, speaks about the four parts for a day that turns your life around.

Disgust – Disgust is a powerful emotion that can turn your life around. It’s when you say: “I have had it.” He tells the story of a very powerful executive who tells how she achieved her position. There was a day, she said, when she asked her husband for $10. He asked: “What for?” She said that before the day was over, she had said “enough is enough” and decided that she would never, ever ask again.

Decision-Making – Following from the above, it is when you finally choose that your life begins to change. Rohn remarks: “If you went home today and in the next few days cleaned up a list of decisions it could furnish enough inspiration for the next five, ten years. What an inspiring day when you bring yourself to decide.”

Desire – Desire is “wanting to do something bad enough” “Desire,” he says, “waits for a trigger, waits for something to happen.” His advice: “Welcome all experiences. You never know which one is going to turn everything on.”

Resolve – Resolves says: “I will.” Benjamin Disraeli once said: “Nothing can resist the human will that will stake even its existence on its stated purpose.” Shortly put, Rohn says: I’ll do it or die.” An important word, a magical word that goes along with resolve is “until”… until you learn, change, grow, become. ”Then you will discover some of life’s best treasures when you pay that price.”

These are the elements of the memorable, life-changing days when we no longer choose to tolerate the status quo, when a fire within us is ignited by a burning desire for something new, and when our resolve to act has the strength of metal forged by fire. These are the days that turn around our life – when we again wrest control of our life’s journey, when our inner sprit is enlivened and fills us with excitement and joy, and we move forward to another part of our magnificent journey – to be more than we ever dreamed we could be. Life is so very beautiful and precious. Let your eyes be open to those incredible opportunities to turn your life around. Grab them with passion and change your world!

Have a beautiful day and a fantastic week!!!

Mike

Advisor – Business Management Majors

To: The Great Leaders Who Have a Passion for Continuous Learning The day that turns your life around – what will that day contain?
