{"id":443,"date":"2011-12-23T10:44:22","date_gmt":"2011-12-23T14:44:22","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.shu.edu\/cld\/?p=443"},"modified":"2012-01-01T21:45:02","modified_gmt":"2012-01-02T01:45:02","slug":"three-minute-leadership-peace-to-you-and-yours","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/blogs.shu.edu\/StillmanLeaders\/2011\/12\/three-minute-leadership-peace-to-you-and-yours\/","title":{"rendered":"Three Minute Leadership: Peace to You and Yours"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><em>Early Release for Christmas, December 25<\/em><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>To:\u00a0 The Great Leaders Who Have a Passion for Continuous Learning<\/p>\n<div>\n<div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p>It is that wonderful time of year again when the holiday spirit\u00a0fills our mind and heart, and gently moves us away from the hectic pace of our lives.\u00a0 While results and commitments are no less important, holiday activities such as gift buying and preparing for family and friends get-togethers begin to take precedence\u00a0in our list of priorities.\u00a0 The world around us contributes to our change: stores are wonderfully decorated; holiday music streams from radios and ipods; home decorations appear.\u00a0 Our environment is transformed around us to one of festivity and joyful tranquility. It is a time of peace. As Norman Vincent Peale, minister and author, once said, it is as though the holiday season \u201cwaves a magic wand over this world, and behold, everything is softer and more beautiful.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p>Memories fill us.\u00a0 We remember the joys of our youth and the people who were and are integral parts of our lives and happiness.
