This event consisted of three breakout sessions and a cocktail hour. Alumni of the Gerald P. Buccino \u201863 Center for Leadership Development Business Honors Program shared the knowledge they have gained in a variety of fields including law, finance, government agencies, and marketing.<\/p>\n<p>The breakout sessions included <em>Dinner Etiquette<\/em>, where students learned the proper way to sit, order, and eat their food in a business meeting session and quick tips such as ordering in the same price range as a host, and how to address ordering drinks. In the second session, <em>Diversifying Yourself for the Workplace<\/em>, students learned from alumni about the important information they need to know to help themselves stand out once they arrive at the workplace, and how to get the promotion they are working towards. Tips included \u201cdress for the job you want not for the job you have\u201d and \u201cnever be afraid to say you don\u2019t know something.\u201d In the final session, <em>Feedback 101<\/em>, the students and alumni acted out proper feedback sessions to help the students better understand how to give and receive constructive feedback.<\/p>\n<p>The night was filled with insights and knowledge between alumni and students. The Alumni Initiative is extremely thankful for all of the alumni and student participation.
