\u201cThe tipping point is that magic moment,<\/em>\u201d writes\u00a0Malcolm Gladwell<\/a>,\u00a0\u201cwhen an idea, trend, or social behavior crosses a threshold, tips, and spreads like wildfire.\u201d<\/em>\u00a0Gladwell\u2019s tipping point has broader implications in the lives of great leaders \u2013 those magical moments when their perceptions of life, experiences, business or themselves suddenly evolve or dramatically burst into something greater and more important and value-added.\u00a0\u00a0It is the journey of continuous professional and personal learning, growth and change and a moment comes when a corner is turned.<\/p>\n

Dan Rockwell<\/a>\u00a0in his recent blog post,\u00a0Leadership Tipping Points<\/a>, suggests five tips for finding personal tipping points:<\/p>\n

  1. Change the people you listen to.<\/em><\/li>\n
  2. Adopt new language when you talk to yourself.<\/em><\/li>\n
  3. Think of the potential of your current team from a different perspective.<\/em><\/li>\n
  4. Add new people to the team.<\/em><\/li>\n
  5. Try something new. Go to new places. Nothing changes until you do something different.<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Gladwell writes also: \u201cLook at the world around you. It may seem like an immovable, implacable place. It is not, With the slightest push – in just the right place – it can be tipped<\/em>.\u201d Creating these magic moments is in the hands of great leaders \u2013 their choices for themselves and those whom they serve. Dare to fill your life with the precious moments. Push the limits in all that you do. Find the tipping point \u2026 and then gently push \u2026 and change the world.<\/p>\n
