They realize that they can choose the impact of what the world and people around them have on them.\u00a0\u00a0Whether it be an insensitive word, someone\u2019s negativity, a disappointment, they realize that they can choose if or how they will permit themselves to be impacted by those actions. Their happiness is in their hands, and they will not put this precious treasure in the hands of someone else.<\/p>\n<p><u><a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Viktor_Frankl\">Viktor Frankl<\/a><\/u>\u00a0wrote:\u00a0<em>\u201cBetween stimulus and response there is a space. In that space is our power to choose our response. In our response lies our growth and our freedom.\u201d<\/em>\u00a0In that brief instant of choice, great leaders remember the words of\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Walter_Anderson_%28editor%29\">Walter Anderson<\/a>: \u201c<em>Bad things do happen; how I respond to them defines my character and the quality of my life. I can choose to sit in perpetual sadness, immobilized by the gravity of my loss, or I can choose to rise from the pain and treasure the most precious gift I have &#8211; life itself<\/em>.\u201d Become more than you ever dreamed you could be\u2026 and more\u2026 so much more. It is all in your hands.
