Do great leaders depend on external stimuli for their happiness, or do they choose to write their own internal script from which happiness will follow?<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cOur narrative, the laundry list we tick off, the things we highlight for ourselves and others&#8230; our narrative is completely up to us. The simple shortcut: the way we respond to the things that we can&#8217;t change can instantly transform our lives. &#8220;That&#8217;s interesting,&#8221; is a thousand times more productive than, &#8220;that&#8217;s terrible.&#8221; Even more powerful is our ability to stop experiencing failure before it even happens, because, of course, it usually doesn&#8217;t. Happiness, for most of us, is a choice. Reality is not. It seems, though, that choosing to be happy ends up changing the reality that we keep track of.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/William_Jennings_Bryan\">William Jennings Bryan<\/a>, American statesman, wrote: \u201c<em>Destiny is no matter of chance. It is a matter of choice. It is not a thing to be waited for, it is a thing to be achieved.<\/em>\u201d Great leaders choose to create their own realities, starting from the inside. They embrace and hold sacred the words of\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Tony_Robbins\">Tony Robbins<\/a>, life coach and author: &#8220;<em>Using the power of decision gives you the capacity to get past any excuse to change any and every part of your life in an instant<\/em>.&#8221; On the power of choice\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/de.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Frederick_Bailes\">Frederick Bailes&#8217;<\/a>\u00a0tells great leaders:\u00a0<em>&#8220;Man&#8217;s power of choice enable him to think like an angel or a devil, a king or a slave.\u00a0\u00a0Whatever he chooses, mind will create and manifest.&#8221;<\/em>\u00a0\u00a0Choose wisely; choose well. The choices that great leaders make, are the choices that make great leaders. Remember always the wise counsel of\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Dr._Seuss\">Dr. Seuss<\/a>:\u00a0<em>\u201cYou have BRAINS in your HEAD. You have FEET in your SHOES.
