Mr. Cummings provided the team with anecdotes and several inspirational quotes that the freshman will surely remember forever.<\/p>\n<p>A few quotes Mr. Cummings told the freshman class were &#8220;Be childlike but not childish&#8221; and &#8220;your failures and mistakes are your biggest opportunities&#8221;. Mr.Cummings mentioned the important &#8220;Cs&#8221; of life which are: character, community, commitment, cooperation, competency and communication. He explained that the longest journey is going from a selfish child to a selfless adult. When asked about the freshman&#8217;s thoughts on the meeting, Andrew Aguilera commented saying, &#8220;I really like how he talked about helping others.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Towards the end of the meeting right before the questionnaire, Mr. Cummings told the team about a few good reads that they should look into. &#8220;21 Rules of Leadership&#8221;, &#8220;Good Leaders Ask Good Questions&#8221;, and &#8220;5 Levels of Leadership&#8221; were among the picks.
