People are touched and engaged by the genuineness of their passion.<\/li>\n<li><strong><em>Makes a clear case without being dogmatic<\/em><\/strong><strong>\u2013\u00a0<\/strong>They convey the power of their belief without dismissing or belittling others\u2019 points of view.<\/li>\n<li><strong><em>Invites real dialogue about their passion<\/em><\/strong><strong>\u2013\u00a0<\/strong>Their passion is balanced with openness: they want to hear and integrate others\u2019 points of view.<\/li>\n<li><strong><em>Acts in support of their passion<\/em><\/strong><strong>\u2013\u00a0<\/strong>They walk their talk: their day-to-day behaviors support their beliefs<strong>.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong><em>Stays committed despite adversity and setbacks<\/em><\/strong><strong>\u2013\u00a0<\/strong>Their commitment isn\u2019t flimsy; when difficulties arise, they hold to their principles and find a way forward.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Real passion evokes inspiration in those they serve \u2013 an inspiration to follow, believe in a great purpose, give all one has in accomplishing something.\u00a0 Those who follow want more than shallow words.\u00a0 They shout the words of\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Frederick_Douglass\">Frederick Douglas<\/a>, social reformer and writer:\u00a0 &#8220;For it&#8217;s not light that is needed, but fire; it&#8217;s not the gentle shower, but thunder.
