The director, he said, would never take \u201cno\u201d as an acceptable answer. One had to rephrase it to \u201cYes, if\u2026\u201d and describe what kind of support they needed to get the job done. \u201cYou can change the entire feel and look of a company by making people realize that they\u2019re not empowered to say no,\u201d Banga noted. \u201cThey\u2019re empowered to say \u201cyes, if.\u201d It changes the bureaucracy, the culture, the passion, the purpose \u2014 it changes everything.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>What a magnificent mindset shift happens when \u201cYes, if\u2026.\u201d Is the chosen response. We are freed of our self-imposed limitations as we now must focus on finding an alternative. The mind shifts to the world of the possible. We think of what can be and the how. Think of the changes this can bring to our professional and personal life, our family, our community.\u00a0 Help others to take \u2018no\u2019 out of their vocabulary.
