In his new book,\u00a0Sometimes You Win, Sometimes You Learn<\/i>, John Maxwell writes about the importance of hope:<\/span><\/div>\n

\u201cHope is a beautiful thing. It shines brightest when the hour is darkest. Hope sings when all melodies are gone. It believes when the evidence is limited. Hope gives to us even when we have little or nothing left. It is one of the most precious things we have in life. Hope is inspiring. It gives us the motivation for living and learning.\u201d<\/span><\/div>\n

Hope, he says, \u201csays yes to life\u2026fills us with energy\u2026 and focuses forward.\u201d\u00a0 It is a magnificent gift, yet it is only the beginning.\u00a0 It is the fire starter for action and belief.\u00a0 A dear friend and mentor once told me:\u00a0 \u201cHope is not a plan.\u201d Action is needed to make plans and dreams a reality. Hope is the road to belief. Johann Wolfgang von Goethe wrote: \u201cMan is made by his belief. As he believes, so he is.\u201d What you think is what you are. Have hope to start the fire; take action to change the world.<\/span><\/div>\n
